Orientation Programme 2026

Government College Kosli successfully organised an Orientation Programme for newly admitted UG First-Year students for the academic session 2026–27 on 24 August 2026. The programme aimed to familiarise students with the various academic, extracurricular and student-support facilities available in the College and to help them begin their college journey with confidence. Sh. Nagesh Kumar, Assistant Professor of English, hosted and managed the programme. He also briefed the students about the Sports Committee and the various sports-related activities and opportunities available in the College. Ms. Monika, In-charge, Women Cell, apprised the students about the activities and support provided by the Women Cell. Sh. Sahil, In-charge, Library and Member, Placement Cell, explained the importance of the College Library, available learning resources, career guidance, placement-related activities and opportunities that students can utilise during their college life. Sh. Surender Kumar, In-charge, Earn While You Learn, informed students about the initiative and its role in providing opportunities for learning along with meaningful engagement. Ms. Anjali, In-charge, NSS, introduced students to NSS activities and encouraged them to participate in community service and social-development activities. Ms. Nisha, In-charge, Scholarship, guided students regarding scholarship-related opportunities and the importance of availing themselves of eligible financial assistance. Ms. Priti, In-charge, Cultural Activities, briefed students about cultural programmes and encouraged them to actively participate in extracurricular activities. Sh. Sonu Singh, In-charge, Educational Tours, explained the importance of educational tours in providing students with learning experiences beyond the classroom. The Principal, Prof. Dr. Lajvanti, welcomed the newly admitted students and guided them regarding college rules, discipline and responsible conduct. She encouraged students to make the best use of the academic and other facilities available in the College and wished them success, growth and a bright future during their college journey. The orientation programme successfully familiarised the newly admitted students with the functioning of various cells and committees and helped them understand the opportunities available to them throughout their college life. The programme concluded with an encouraging message for students to participate actively in academic, sports, cultural, social and career-oriented activities and make their college journey meaningful and successful.
